Overview

The Market Summary page provides a comprehensive, at-a-glance view of global market conditions. It is divided into three main panels: Equity Summary, Major Instruments, and Yield Curve, with an AI Quantmatix Insights feed running alongside them on the right. Together, these sections give users a complete picture of market health across equities, asset classes, and macroeconomic indicators.

Time Horizon Selector

At the top of the page, users can switch between three analysis timeframes:

Changing the timeframe updates all signal and scoring data across the Equity Summary and Major Instruments panels, allowing users to assess market conditions through different lenses.

Equity Summary

The Equity Summary panel shows signal-based performance data for the equity market, broken down by your chosen grouping and index.

Index Selector

In the top-right corner of the panel, a dropdown allows users to filter the data by a specific index. Available options include: All, FTSE 100, FTSE 250, Nikkei 225, Russell 1000, S&P 500, S&P/ASX 300, and Stoxx 600. Selecting an index scopes all rows in the table to that index's constituent stocks.

Grouping Tabs

Four tabs let users slice the equity data by different classification levels:

  • Sectors – Top-level market sectors (e.g. Energy, Health Care, Financials, Industrials)

  • Industry Groups – A more granular breakdown within sectors (e.g. Software & Services, Media & Entertainment)

  • Industries – The most granular classification level (e.g. Marine, Water Utilities, Gas Utilities)

  • Size – Breakdown by market capitalisation: Giant Cap, Large Cap, Mid Cap, Small Cap, and Micro Cap

Equity Summary Table

Each row in the table displays the following columns for the overall market ("All") and each sub-group:

  • Name – The sector, industry group, industry, or size category

  • Score Direction – A dual progress bar showing the percentage of stocks with a Declining score direction (red) vs. an Advancing score direction (green)

  • Score – A dual progress bar showing the percentage of stocks with a Positive Score vs. a Negative Score, plus the raw count of each

  • Score Reversal – Counts of stocks showing positive and negative score reversals, indicating potential turning points

  • Trend Exhaustion – Counts of stocks displaying positive or negative trend exhaustion signals, highlighting where trends may be running out of momentum

Clicking on any row drills down into that group for a more detailed view.

Full Screen Mode

The expand icon in the top-right corner of the panel launches the Equity Summary in full-screen mode for easier analysis.

Major Instruments

This panel tracks signal and performance data for key global instruments, updated to the selected timeframe.

Sub-Tabs

  • Stock Indices – Displays major global equity indices including Russell 1000, Dow Jones, Euro Stoxx 50, Stoxx 600, FTSE 100, DAX, CAC 40, Nikkei 225, Hang Seng, Russell 2000, and S&P 500

  • Commodities & Forex – Displays key commodities and currency pairs including Gold Spot, Silver Spot, WTI Crude (Futures), Brent Crude Oil (Futures), EUR/USD, USD/JPY, and GBP/USD

Yield Curve

The Yield Curve panel displays government bond yield curves across multiple maturities (1Y through 30Y) for four major economies: Germany, Japan, UK, and US. Each country is represented by a distinct colour line, and interactive data points are plotted at standard maturities. This allows users to compare the shape of yield curves across markets and identify inverted curves, steepening trends, or other macro signals at a glance.

AI Quantmatix Insights

Users can filter insights by geography using the buttons at the top of the panel: All, USA, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Global Macro. This helps users focus on regions most relevant to their portfolio.

Insights are updated continuously and cover a broad range of markets including equities, forex, commodities, and macroeconomic themes.

Tips for Getting Started

  • Start with Medium Term selected and the index set to All to get a broad market overview.

  • Use the Sectors tab in Equity Summary to quickly identify which sectors have the strongest advancing signals.

  • Switch to Size to see if large caps or small caps are leading or lagging the market.

  • Check the Yield Curve panel for macro context — an unusually flat or inverted curve can signal broader risk-off conditions.

  • Use the AI Quantmatix Insights feed to stay on top of region-specific developments that may affect your instruments.
