Trend Exhaustion, Reversals & Pending Signals

How Quantofi's trend exhaustion, score reversal, and Top Quantofi signals work, and what confirmed vs. pending means.

Written by John Mulligan

Score Reversal

The Q Score has changed sign — from positive to negative, or negative to positive — meaning the score is now trending in the opposite direction to before.

Score Reversal Pending

The Q Score is close to changing sign before the current bar closes, but hasn't crossed yet — it may still pull back before confirming.

Top Quantofi

Highlights the strongest Quantofi signals. An AI overlay on the algorithm identifies multiple features — trend, momentum, and time — that combine to give a higher risk/reward setup, often the cleanest setups in the system.

Trend Exhaustion

A Trend Exhaustion signal captures the point of exhaustion of the recent trend and signals a possible reversal, generated on Short, Medium, and Long Term timeframes.

Confirmed vs. Pending

Confirmed Trend Exhaustion signals are generated on all timeframes: Short Term confirms at the end of a Daily bar, Medium Term at the end of a Weekly bar, Long Term at the end of a Monthly bar.

Pending Trend Exhaustion signals occur only on Medium and Long Term timeframes, generated using intraweek and intramonth data. They may switch off before the week/month bar is finished, depending on price movement of the instrument.
