Price sourcing & coverage

Where Quantofi's price and signal data comes from, and what's covered.

Written by John Mulligan

Data sources

  • Crypto: Financial Modeling Prep (FMP)

  • Equity, Fixed Income, Commodity, Forex, Risk: ICE Data Services Europe Ltd

Price format

Price data uses the OHLC (Open, High, Low, Close) format across all asset classes:

  • Open — the price at which a security first trades when the exchange opens for the day

  • High — the highest price traded during the day

  • Low — the lowest price traded during the day

  • Close — the price of the last trade of the day

Coverage

  • Crypto: 200+ instruments, spanning major tokens and a broader range of altcoins, with the full signal suite (Q Score, TEVO, Trend Exhaustion, Reversals) applied across the universe.

  • Equity, Fixed Income, Commodity, Forex, Risk: 8,000+ instruments globally, predominantly equities.

Why your price may differ from your exchange app
FMP aggregates crypto prices across multiple exchanges, so the displayed price is a consolidated market price, not tied to any single exchange's order book. It may differ slightly from the price shown on the specific exchange you use.
